Itinerary
We start at Serbian Adventure Factory Bike Rental & City Tours, where guests meet the guide, get introduced to the route, and receive safety instructions.
The ride begins with an easy warm-up toward Kalemegdan Park, Belgrade’s most important historical site. Here, guests learn about the city’s strategic position at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, its Roman, medieval, Ottoman, and Austro-Hungarian past, and enjoy panoramic views.
From Kalemegdan, the tour continues through Dorćol, one of Belgrade’s oldest and most atmospheric neighborhoods. The guide introduces guests to Dorćol’s multicultural heritage, Jewish history, and its transformation into a creative urban area.
The next stop is Skadarlija, Belgrade’s bohemian quarter. Guests hear stories about artists, writers, and musicians who shaped Serbian culture, as well as the traditions of kafanas and local lifestyle
A short ride brings us to Cetinjska Street, today’s alternative cultural hub filled with former industrial spaces turned into bars, galleries, and clubs – a great contrast between old and new Belgrade.
We then cycle to Tašmajdan Park, a spacious green area rich in history, from Roman quarries to WWII underground shelters. This stop offers time to rest, talk about modern Serbian history, and enjoy the park atmosphere.
This building belongs to Radio Television of Serbia, the country’s national public broadcaster. It was struck during the NATO bombing campaign in April 1999, an event that left a deep mark on Belgrade’s recent history. Today, the site serves as a reminder of the turbulent 1990s and opens discussion about the role of media, politics, and public memory in Serbia.
The route continues to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, where guests learn about Serbia’s political history, architecture, and key historical events.
From there, we head toward one of Belgrade’s most impressive landmarks – the Church of Saint Sava. At this stop, the guide explains the importance of Saint Sava, Serbian Orthodoxy, and the story behind one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world.
After the final stop, we return at an easy pace back to Serbian Adventure Factory Bike Rental & City Tours, where guests can ask additional questions, get local tips, and recommendations for the rest of their stay.
